We purchased what was purported to be the best mattress in the Better Bedding store from Sealy. All told it came to $3k When it was being delivered and set up the installer asked that we support the box spring in the center, which I promptly addressed with a 4x4 cut to size and attached to the center cross support, to their satisfaction. I purchased a mattress and after delivery men left I noticed there was a "run" in the mattress that caused a *** (like a run in a pair of pantyhose). I paid for mattress on my own credit card (I did not finance). They are telling me my account is in collections from 4 years ago when I purchased a mattress back then. They claim I never paid an in-house account of $150. I told them they still have to honor the current contact and the prior mattress has nothing to do with this one. They disagree. last year i purchased a stearns and foster matress and boxspring for $1400.last night while my wife was sleeping the matress collasped knocking her to the floor. i took her to the emergency room.she was found to have a mild concussion and contussion to her ribbs. today i went to the store with my sales receipt and warranty the salesman told me the warranty was wortless we dont give away money.the salesman said he never heard of better bedding honoring a warranty.so me and the wife have a bed we cant even sleep in and were out $1400.a word of... We had to return a bed at Better bedding because it was defective. The customer service was amazingly rude and scary. After we posted a complaint here a rep from Sleepy's reached out to us and provided the best customer service...ever. Chandra was amazing, friendly and took the time to listen to the nightmare with Teresa. Thank you Chandra... you should run the company.. you rock and saved Better Beddings but. By the way... Drivers called and could not locate street. The salesperson indicated New Haven when it should have been West Haven. I told the drivers the correct zip code and street. They said they would call back. They then called back on the same street in New Haven. I told them that I had indicated that they needed to be in West Haven and offered to give them directions. Sold me a defective bed and when they said that they would credit the entire bed then they said that they wouldnt credit for the box spring because there was nothing wrong with it. OK... I get it.. then I find a bed that I want and they tell me that they won't offer the sale price of the bed and that I would have my credit of 66.6 percent of the bed but that I have to pay the non sale price.. Although Better Bedding was bought out by Sleepy's, you would never know they were part of the same company. The Wholleys would be mortified if they realized how terrible the customer service is at their store. We purchased a Dr. Breus bed at the Manchester, CT Better Bedding (next to IParty) last week and it pleasantly arrived the next day. I bought a mattress and bed frame from Better Bedding in Manchester CT. The bed is the Tiffany Storage bed that utilizes slats for support. The sales person assured us that because of the support slats that we did not need a box spring and the mattress that we chose would work great with the bed. Not true. The mattress has no support and is actually sinking on both sides. I missed the 21 day exchange period because I had a baby and therefore they will do nothing to help me. We purchased a mattress and boxspring on 9-16-2010. On 9-17-2010, we decided to cancel and my wife called the store and spoke with the salesperson that sold us the mattress.He agreed to cancel the order. My wife follwed up five days later to make certain that, indeed it was cancelled and was assured by the same salesperson that it had been. Sure enough, we received out credit card bill (we always pay in full and there was the charge for the bed plus approximately $13 interest). I have just left the Orange store and should have called the cops now that I think about it. We started down the Post Road in Milford today on a search for a new king size mattress. We had been to 3 locations prior to Bedding Barn. It was myself my husband an two boys. The staff were ALL very nice and allowed the kids and us to try the beds. All of these stores were packed.
